Apply to Adopt a Rescued Dog
You're one step closer to giving a dog rescued from South Korea's meat trade the forever home they deserve. Fill out the application below and our volunteer team will be in touch.
Before You Apply: What to Know
Jindo Love Rescue is an entirely volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has placed over 1,000 dogs rescued from South Korean dog meat farms, puppy mills, and abandonment into loving homes across the United States and Canada. We rescue all breeds and all sizes — from Korean Jindos and Korean Village Dogs to many other breeds who have fallen victim to the meat trade. Our dogs are rehabilitated at our foster home in South Korea before making the journey to their new families, so each placement is something we take seriously.
To be considered for adoption, applicants must be at least 18 years old, reside in the United States or Canada, and be prepared to provide a safe, loving, and permanent home. If you rent your home, please have written landlord approval for dogs ready before submitting. Because our dogs have often experienced significant trauma, we ask that adopters have patience and a genuine willingness to work through an adjustment period — some dogs settle in within days, others may take weeks or months to fully come out of their shell.
Once you submit your application, our volunteer team will review it carefully and reach out to discuss next steps, schedule a meet-and-greet if applicable, and answer any questions you have. Please note that our primary communication channel is Facebook Messenger — following our page and sending us a message there is the fastest way to stay connected throughout the process. Applications are typically reviewed within 3–7 days, though response times may vary depending on current rescue volume.

What Happens After You Submit
Once we receive your application, a member of our all-volunteer team will review your responses and reach out within 3–7 days. Our primary communication channel is Facebook Messenger — we strongly encourage you to follow Jindo Love Rescue on Facebook and be ready to connect with us there for the fastest response. If you're interested in a specific dog, let us know in your application and we'll do our best to prioritize your review accordingly.
If your application moves forward, we'll schedule a virtual or in-person meet-and-greet and walk you through the next steps, including our adoption agreement and the transport or pickup process. Because our dogs travel from South Korea, some coordination and lead time is involved — we appreciate your patience and excitement as we work to make the match official.
Thank you for opening your heart and home to a dog who has survived so much. Every adoption directly helps us save another life from the meat trade.
