From Dog Meat Farms to Forever Homes

South Korea's dog meat trade is one of the largest and most brutal in the world — over 2 million dogs are slaughtered every year. Korean Jindos, Korean Village Dogs, and many other breeds face abandonment, abuse, and the horror of slaughter simply because of where they were born. Jindo Love Rescue was founded in 2015 by passionate animal advocates determined to change that reality, one dog at a time. Our volunteers on the ground in South Korea stop dog meat transport trucks, shut down puppy mills, and dismantle entire dog meat breeding operations. After rescue, each dog is cared for and rehabilitated at our foster home in South Korea until they are healthy and ready to travel to loving families in the United States. We are singular in what we do — we rescue all breeds and all sizes, because any dog can become a victim of the meat trade. Since our founding, we have placed more than 1,000 dogs into homes across the U.S. and Canada, proving that dogs rescued from the most unimaginable circumstances can — and do — thrive as beloved family members.
